It’s Salman Khan vs Ranbir Kapoor at Christmas 2019 as Dabangg 3 to clash with Brahmastra
Actor Salman Khan has shared the release date of his upcoming film Dabangg 3, confirming a clash with Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra at Christmas this year.
Actor Salman Khan has confirmed the release date of Dabangg 3 and has booked the Christmas weekend this year. The actor shared a snapshot of his police costume in the film with the name of his character Chulbul Pandey written on the batch. Interestingly, the date was already confirmed as the release date of Brahmastra, Ayan Mukerji’s ambitious film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan.
Sharing the picture that has the release date, December 20, written on it, Salman wrote, “Chulbul is back..... #Dabangg3 @sonakshisinha @arbaazSkhan @Nikhil_Dwivedi @PDdancing @SKFilmsOfficial.” It seems one of the two films may bow out from the clash -- both Brahmastra and Dabangg 3 are highly awaited films with a lot of money riding on them.
Sonakshi Sinha, who made her Bollywood debut with the original, will reprise her role as Rajjo in Dabangg 3. She had, however, not accompanied Salman to Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh for the first shooting schedule.
Salman had earlier shared his look from the film while announcing the wrap up of the first schedule at the Ahilya Fort in Maheshwar. The actor will be seen in his typical Dabangg style - dressed in crisp shirt and trousers with his signature moustache and aviators in the film.
The actor had shared another close-up of himself from the sets while announcing the completion of the song Hud Hud Dabangg. He is seen stroking his moustache while sharing the frame with a sadhu.
Being directed by Prabhudheva and produced by Arbaaz Khan, Dabangg 3 will star Kannada actor Sudeep as the antagonist. The second sequel was directed by Arbaaz whereas the original was helmed by Anubhav Kashyap.
Earlier, a source had told Mumbai Mirror in a report, “In his back story, which is a kind of prequel, Chulbul will be shown as a local goon with a heart of gold and a lengthy flashback will cover his metamorphosis into a Robin Hood cop. The conflict in the present with Sudeep is connected to his past before Chulbul got into uniform. Everything that the brand is synonymous with has been retained and adapted keeping modern-day sensibilities in mind.”
