Huma Qureshi, who has a mixed bag of films in her repertoire, says that post Jolly LLB 2, she continues to be offered different kinds of movies.

The actor made her debut with Gangs Of Wasseypur (2012) and followed it with impressive performances in films including Ek Thi Daayan (2013), Dedh Ishqiya (2014) and Badlapur (2015). Though the actor received praise for her skills, with Jolly LLB 2 she was catapulted to the next level. “The very fact that I got to work with Akshay Kumar was special. Also, my character was that of a homemaker with spunk. I was always appreciated for my roles but after Jolly, I think I got the superhit stamp,” says Huma.

Huma says that though she has been getting good offers, a biopic would be great. “I would love to do a biopic or a situational comedy. I think it will be fun. Also, a good role is a good role. It doesn’t matter if it’s negative or positive. Having said that, I would love to do an out-and-out negative role,” says the Dobaara actor.

Her international debut film, Viceroy’s House, directed by Gurinder Chadha has been getting rave reviews not only in England and but also other parts of the world. “It’s fantastic to hear so many people say such good things about my film. We are planning to release it in India around Independence Day, since the film revolves around the partition,” says Huma.

Ask her about future Hollywood plans and she says, “It’s not like I was actively pursuing a role in the West. I got a good offer so I took it up. If another good film comes to me, I will take that up too. I don’t have any ego, and I will go and audition for parts if I’m offered an interesting script.”
