Hits and misses don’t matter to Ajay Devgn anymore

It is said that a Friday decides an actor’s fate in Bollywood, however Ajay Devgn begs to differ. The 47-year-old says that after spending more than two decades here, all that matters is being part of good projects . “I have been here for 25 years, a hit or a flop does not matter to you as long as people love you and you are part of good films. This is true at least for the couple of us who have been here for a while. It matters to newcomers, but once they establish themselves, it won’t affect them too,” he says.

However Ajay feels that Bollywood has its own share of drawbacks. “Honestly, I love what I do. But I don’t like the things that people do to try to keep themselves in the limelight. I don’t do that as it doesn’t come naturally to me.I am in a fix if I am required to do anything to stay in the news,” he adds.

Of course, speculations on his personal life is something he doesn’t enjoy, but has made peace with it. “I don’t mind it anymore. It’s part of the job. You have to pay the price for being a public figure. At the end of the day, this profession gives you what you want,” he says.

Talking about the latest controversy between actor Hrithik Roshan and actor Kangana Ranaut, Ajay says that although it’s sad that personal details are being revealed, it is something that is bound to happen as they are celebrities. “There are a few things which could have been avoided from the actors’ side and then there are some which could have been stopped from the media’s side. Things need to be cross checked. But people will talk about celebrities, that can’t be stopped,” he says.
