Freddy Daruwala: I never felt insecure working opposite big stars
Actor Freddy Daruwala, who has starred in films alongside popular actors Akshay Kumar and John Abraham, is thankful to them for supporting him when he was a newcomer in the industry.
Actor Freddy Daruwala, who made his acting debut with the Akshay Kumar starrer Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (2014) and worked in Force 2 (2016) with John Abraham, says that he was never worried about his presence going unnoticed among such big stars. “When you are working on a project, you have to realise that you are just one element in the film, and not the whole film! I never felt that I won’t be paid attention by the audience, because my job is to bloody shut up and perform”. He believes that the viewers will easily spot you if your work is good. “I am being approached for many films. If I was not good, and the audience hadn’t liked me, that would not have happened”, says Freddy.
He adds that he wants to model his career on lines of his extremely popular co-stars, who have been in the film industry for many years now. “These days, stars are cool. Both (Akshay and John) have themselves come into the industry the hard way, so they know that everybody deserves a chance. They were really supportive. I want people to look up to me in a few years like they look up to them”, says the 33-year old, who will next be seen in a Gujarati film Rasna No Dabbo, which recently ran into trouble for using the name of a popular soft drink brand in its title.
