Deepika Padukone gets annoyed as Vicky Kaushal calls her ‘bhabhi’ at awards show

Actor Deepika Padukone recently received the Best Actress award at the Zee Cine Awards but that wasn’t all that happened on stage. The actor and her husband Ranveer Singh were asked to recreate their wedding and even take the seven ‘pheras’ at the event, and orchestrating it all were Vicky Kaushal and Kartik Aaryan.

According to a report in DNA, Vicky kept calling Deepika his ‘bhabhi’ (sister-in-law), which left her annoyed. She told him not to call her that but Vicky continued teasing her, leaving the audience laughing at their banter.

Vicky and Kartik, evidently sad about not getting invited to Deepika and Ranveer’s secret wedding in Italy, also decided to Photoshop themselves into their wedding pictures. Some pictures showed Vicky carrying their luggage or tending to the train of Deepika’s lehenga. Others showed Kartik dancing behind Deepika at the mehendi function or fanning the newly weds with a giant fan.

A video from the event also showed Deepika and Ranveer take the ‘pheras’ around Vicky while Kartik played the priest.

Ranveer also won the Viewers Choice award for Best Actor for his role as Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat. Ranbir Kapoor won the Best Actor award for Sanju.
