Deepika Padukone accepts her design inspiration is Ranveer Singh, shares Met Gala after-party pic as proof

Actor Deepika Padukone may be amping up her style cred as she makes one fashionable appearance after another. The actor, who recently made a statement at the Met Gala red carpet dressed as a ‘Camp Barbie’ in a Zac Posen gown, later partied with Priyanka Chopra in a yellow dress, paired with a monochrome coat, by the same designer.

It now seems that Deepika’s yellow dress was inspired by husband Ranveer Singh’s style. The 33-year-old actor shared two of Ranveer Singh’s flamboyant looks on her Instagram stories and gave credit where it was due. While Ranveer was seen dressed in a florescent suit in one, he was wearing the style twin of Deepika’s monochrome overcoat in the other. “Say what?” she wrote with the photo.

Even at the Met Gala, she was seen showing Ranveer’s photos, rightly asserting that her husband was the perfect fit for ‘camp’, this year’s theme. In a video shared by Vogue, Deepika was seen getting ready for the big night as she showed a picture shared on Instagram by Ranveer. Seen in a colourful pair of shorts and shirt, the actor was camp without even trying.

“That’s him. Can you see? He has this crazy sense of dressing. I think he would be actually a perfect fit for tonight’s theme. He’s the one person who would do 100% justice to the theme. But I am representing him,” she said. Deepika and Ranveer got married in Italy in November last year.
