Arjun and Shraddha Kapoor getting basketball lessons from NBA India

NBA India (National Basketball Association) has partnered with an upcoming film featuring actors Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, to professionally train them to convincingly play the role of aspiring basketball players in the movie.

The young dynamic duo will be sharing screen space for the first time in the film which is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel by the same name. Being extremely sporty themselves, the lead actors are loving the basketball training sessions, which includes handling the ball, footwork, speed, agility and basic shooting. Along with that they have also spent their time doing their homework on NBA games, players and their distinct style statement to recreate the magic on the silver screen.

Arjun’s basketball scenes are the first to have been released in the film’s promo. His Twitter profile picture also sees him playing basketball.

Talking about the association, director Mohit Suri said, “We are very excited to have the NBA on- board. The trainers have been fantastic and extremely patient with both, Arjun and Shraddha, to ensure that they portray their characters to perfection. We really are having a ‘ball of a time’ during our shoots.”

The film revolves around a small-town boy Madhav Jha (Arjun Kapoor), who falls in love with an upper class Delhi-girl Riya Somani (Shraddha Kapoor).
