Akshay Kumar’s trip to Juhu, John Abraham’s hospital visit on I-Day. See pictures

Independence Day 2018 saw the release of two big films, Akshay Kumar’s Gold and John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate. Both actors put their star power to good use and continued the publicity drive even on release day. On August 15, both chose to spend the day in their own ways -- Akshay was spotted at PVR Juhu, possibly to check the first day public response to his film while John spent the day at a charitable hospital, run the Wadia Group.

A host of Bollywood A-listers were also seen at the airport. Saif Ali Khan, who was away, made it back to Mumbai in time to ring in his birthday on August 16. Shilpa Shetty was spotted with her husband and son, Disha Patani and Sonal Chauhan were seen at the airport.

TV star Gurmeet Chaudry was seen posing with a child, waving the tricolour.
