While the world looks forward to actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s yet another stunning appearance at the ongoing 72nd Cannes Film Festival, the actor took out time for an important event in Mumbai on Saturday. Aishwarya, along with daughter Aaradhya, mother Brindya Rai, husband Abhishek Bachchan, mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan and sister-in-law Shweta Bachchan Nanda, was seen arriving for Shiamak Davar’s Summer Funk show. The family came to cheer for Aaradhya who was among the star performers at the event.

While Amitabh Bachchan was not spotted with the family, Aishwarya was seen moving ahead with Aaradhya and Brindya whereas Abhishek gave company to Jaya and Shweta. Aishwarya was in black casuals and a vibrant blazer whereas Aaradhya was in an orange tulle dress paired with a sleeveless denim jacket.

Earlier this month, Aishwarya and Aaradhya were seen among the audience at a Celebrity Challenger Cup 2019. The mother-daughter duo were cheering for Abhishek, who was playing for All Stars Football Club. A video of Aaradhya running towards her father to share a hug after the match went viral on the web.

Aishwarya is reported to have finally signed her next project, Mani Ratnam’s period drama based on the historical Tamil novel by Kalki, Ponniyin Selvan. She will reportedly play a negative role in the film.

A Mid Day report had quoted a source as saying, “The story takes place in the 10th century before Raja Chola became a king. Aishwarya will be seen as Nandini, the wife of Periya Pazhuvettaraiyar, who served as the chancellor and treasurer of the Chola kingdom. Her character is written as a mysterious, power-hungry woman who manipulates her husband to plan the downfall of the Chola empire because she has been wronged by them.”

Meanwhile, Abhishek is working on Anurag Kashyap’s next directorial and has already shot a major part of the film. He was last seen sharing screen space with Aishwarya in 2010 film, Raavan.
