A besotted Andrew Kneebone on Ileana D’Cruz: I just look at her and boom... two hours pass
Ileana D’Cruz’ Australian boyfriend Andrew Kneebone took all sorts of questions from Instagrammers, ranging from dating a celebrity to his choice of a role if given a chance to act in Bollywood.
Whenever a celebrity dates a regular Joe, much of the media attention (and naturally so) goes to the celeb -- from following her/his Instagram posts to what she or he has to say about love and longing, everything is minutely covered. That’s predictable. However, a twist in the tale can make for a rather interesting copy. What does the significant other think of the world of ‘celebdom’, for instance.
Now, that’s what happened when Andrew Kneebone was asked about life with his actor-girlfriend Ileana D’Cruz. The Aussie photographer interacted with Instagrammers as part of the new feature, Ask Me A Question. While answering the query, “What is the one thing you dislike about Ileana but can’t tell her?” the Mumbai Mirror quoted him as saying: “She looks so damn beautiful all the time… I mean sometimes I can’t get anything done because I just look at her and boom!… two hours pass.” Said like a man much in love.
On the question as to whom would he pick between his partner and his photography, he was quick with a repartee. He said, “I use photography to capture memories of those I love so one can’t exist without the other.”
To the question of how he copes with being the boyfriend of a celebrity, he said that when they are in Australia, he doesn’t even realise she is a celebrity, particularly when they are with friends and family or simply by themselves. However, every once in a while, a news appears (which according to him is generally not true) and it totally freaks him out. To the query of how he was handling his newfound fame, he quiped: “I literally think the sun shines out of my ar*e.”
To the question as to how much of Hindi can he manage, he replied saying that while he has picked words like “acha” and “ticke” (theekh hai), his Hindi is “completely useless” and that he gets by with “pointing and a good thumbs-up”.
And while his favourite star is Saurabh Shukla, he would love to play a villain or a barista, if given an opportunity in Bollywood, he said.
