21 years of Yes Boss: Shah Rukh Khan will always be a good friend for me, says co-star Juhi Chawla

Starring Juhi Chawla Mehta and Shah Rukh Khan, the film Yes Boss is remembered even now as one of the most entertaining works to have come out of Bollywood. The film completed 21 years yesterday (July 18), and Juhi looks back at some of the best memories, her favourite song, and what makes her co-star Shah Rukh Khan the man that he is.

“The film was very special for me and I’ll never be able to pick any one incident from the sets [as the best] but I love the song Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaoon. It’s full of colours and positivity,” says Juhi.

Having worked with Shah Rukh in many films, including iconic ones such as Darr (1993) and Duplicate (1998), Juhi has always shared a great rapport with him. “Having Shah Rukh as a co-star has been such a delight. He has been a very good friend and we started our career together. We’ve seen dizzying heights of fame and name together. He not only makes a tough scene look so easy, but his dedication is also something that can be so inspiring,” she says.

Having been a part of several blockbuster films, Juhi feels blessed; she is content how her career has played out over the years. “People still remember me; I’m still relevant to society and I can contribute and influence society for the better. What else can I ask for? I feel completely blessed and thankful to the people who appreciated my hard work,” beams the actor.
