Pipeline burst causes huge damage at Asalpha village

The burst happened near Panchavati Niwas on Pipeline Road, which runs adjacent to the north side of the Andheri-Kurla Road, located between the Jagruti Nagar and Asalpha metro stations. The area houses several chawls, many of which were badly affected.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in its press statement said that the burst was reported to the disaster management war room around 3.25 am, following which teams from the hydraulic engineering department were dispatched to Powai to shut the valve so that the teams could reach the site. Adani floats tender to buy 1,500 MW electricity

BMC’s executive health officer Dr Mangala Gomare said only 16% of the eligible population have received the booster dose and around 90 lakh people are yet to take it. “Currently, we have around 6,000-7,000 doses of Covaxin, but no Covishield or Corbevax. Hyderabad-Dubai Air India flight lands in city after snag

The airport declared full emergency for the arrival of the flight and kept its emergency teams, including the fire brigade personnel, ready.

An Air India spokesperson said, “Hyderabad-Dubai Ai 951 has diverted to Mumbai due to technical issue. Air India accords top priority to safety and that’s why the aircraft landed for engineering checks. The flight landed safely at Mumbai with 143 passengers on board. Air India flags off flight from Mumbai to San Francisco

Passenger surge, integrated security check-in causing delays at airport

Nationally, the footfalls of domestic passengers are rising and crossing the pre-Covid average. December 10 had 4,14,114 domestic passengers travelling on 2,798 flights and on December 11, 427,517 domestic passengers flew on 2827 flights
