Bihar govt to purchase new jet plane, helicopter for VIPs

The process to purchase the new jet engine plane and a helicopter will start once the committee submit its report to the government.

A top official said the state cabinet, at its meeting chaired by chief minister Nitish Kumar, approved the civil aviation department’s proposal to purchase the new aircraft for long-distance travel and helicopter in place of the outdated aircraft and faulty chopper for the government’s use. (ANI)

Fake challans for scooters, cars issued to carry sand in Bihar: CAG report

BSPCB slaps closure notices on 18,000 medical facilities over bio-medical waste disposal

Beginning last week, the BSPCB had identified more than 18,000 medical colleges, nursing homes, pathological centres, blood banks, etc., and served closure notices on them for their failure to adhere to the bio-medical waste management rules 2016, officials said.

Bihar bypolls end in draw; RJD, BJP retain seats with dip in margin
