Hyderabad-Dubai Air India flight lands in city after snag

The airport declared full emergency for the arrival of the flight and kept its emergency teams, including the fire brigade personnel, ready.

An Air India spokesperson said, “Hyderabad-Dubai Ai 951 has diverted to Mumbai due to technical issue. Air India accords top priority to safety and that’s why the aircraft landed for engineering checks. The flight landed safely at Mumbai with 143 passengers on board. Passenger surge, integrated security check-in causing delays at airport

Nationally, the footfalls of domestic passengers are rising and crossing the pre-Covid average. December 10 had 4,14,114 domestic passengers travelling on 2,798 flights and on December 11, 427,517 domestic passengers flew on 2827 flights

Urban planners lambast ‘profiteering’ MHADA plan for BDD Chawls redevelopment

Some of the city’s best-known urban planning experts came together on Saturday and critiqued the MHADA plan for the redevelopment of BDD Chawls at Worli, Naigaum and N M Joshi Marg, saying it was aimed at profiteering from the free sale component

The experts also denounced the proposal to have rehab buildings of 23 floors in N M Joshi Marg and Naigaum and free sale buildings of 45 floors. For Worli, the proposed rehab buildings are 40 floors high with two floors of parking podiums, and the proposed free sale buildings have 66 floors with 10 floors of parking.
