Teen helps rape survivor mother get justice; accused gets lifer

The special SC/ST court convicted the accused under Section 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 342 (illegal confinement) of the IPC and awarded life imprisonment with ₹60,000 fine, one-year rigorous imprisonment with ₹2,000 fine and six-month jail and ₹500 fine in the three charges, respectively

From theft to SOS rescue: Chased by 2,000-strong mob, cattle thieves dial ‘112’

Three cattle thieves in UP were rescued by police after being chased by 2,000 villagers. The gang called the UP112 helpline, and police from three stations intervened.

Fake certs issued from Rae Bareli: UP ATS unravels wider network, arrests 6 more
