Tigers kill their own in Kanha, Sariska reserves, experts say it’s ‘rare’

On Thursday, forest officials confirmed that a male tiger in Kanha national park killed two sub-adults and a tigress in the past month and had also eaten some parts of their bodies.

A tiger in Madhya Pradesh’s Kanha has reportedly cannabalised three other big cats in what wildlife experts describe as “rare” but not “unheard of” instance of cannibalism among the biggest of the big cats.(PTI)

A two-year-old boy who fell into a 70-foot-deep borewell in Kerhar village of Madhya Pradesh’s Singrauli district has been rescued, district collector Anurag Chaudhary said on Sunday.

Madhya Pradesh police arrested a ‘BJP worker’ for the murder of Mandsaur municipality chairman Prahalad Bandhwar, 54, who was shot dead Thursday. Besides Manish Bairagi, a declared history-sheeter, police arrested the person who had supplied the pistol.

Municipality chairman of Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh gunned down

Mandsaur municipality chairman and BJP leader Prahalad Bandhwar (54) was shot dead by lone motorcycle borne sharpshooter near the busy BPL crossing on Thursday evening.

Police said Prahlad Bandhwar was standing outside the district cooperative bank when the assailant, who was riding an Enfield Bullet motorcycle came up and shot him on the head. Bandhwar collapsed and died on the spot.(ANI/Twitter)
