Monkey fever infects 76, kills one in Goa
Kyasanur Forest Disease (KFD), popularly referred to as monkey fever , killed 45-year-old Gulabi Gawas in Goa on Monday, where 76 people have tested positive for the disease .

What is monkey fever?
Kyasanoor Forest Disease (KFD) was first detected in the Kyasanur forest in Karnataka in 1957. Since then, between 400 and 500 human cases are reported each year in South Asia, mainly India.
