GMCH-32: 60% spike in admissions to paediatric ward in Sept

Admissions to the paediatric ward of GMCH-32, Chandigarh, have seen a 60% uptick in the last month; health experts believe that the spike is mainly due to the dengue outbreak in Chandigarh and neighbouring states

Chandigarh to get 2.9 lakh vaccine doses in September

In August, the Centre had sent 2.8 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine to the Chandigarh health department, against the allocated 1.7 lakh doses; officials believe that the vaccine will be effectively used this month as the health department is expecting a rush of people looking to get their second dose

Only 74 new Covid cases were reported in the week gone by, as compared to 86 the week before that in the Chandigarh tricity area.
