Never too old to vote: 1049 Prayagraj centenarians keen on suffrage

The voter list shows that there are 414 men and 440 women voters aged between 100 to 109 years. 156 colleges in queue for affiliation with PRSU

The last date of application for securing affiliation of new courses or subjects (except BEd course) has been fixed as April 10. The application process for affiliation of new colleges has, however, now been completed, as per varsity officials. In a first, photo attendance sheets in U.P. Sanskrit Board exams

Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Sanskrit Shiksha Parishad exams will have photographs and details of students on admit cards matched with attendance sheets to prevent impersonation. The exams will be conducted at 229 centres across the state over 13 working days, with a total of 49,375 students registered for the exams.

U.P. school teachers to be trained, tested before giving career guidance to students

Teachers in government-run and government-aided schools in Uttar Pradesh will be trained to guide students on their career paths. The online training program, developed by the state project office of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and UNICEF, will be available from February 5. Principals and nodal officers must obtain a minimum of 85% marks in a self-assessment after completing the five-module course. Certificates will be issued to those who complete the training. The aim is to increase career awareness among students in classes 9 to 12.

Prayagraj women show more interest than men in voter registration

Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, Prayagraj has seen an increase of 65,579 voters, with the number of women voters rising in every assembly constituency. The new voter list shows a maximum increase of 13,207 voters in Karachhana and a minimum increase of 655 voters in Phaphamau. The number of transgender voters has decreased from 644 to 619.
