114 residents wait endlessly for allotment of plots under LIT scheme

Over 31 years after 114 city residents applied for plots under the 475-acre scheme of the Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT) in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, they are still waiting for the allotment letters. These residents claim that they have visited the LIT office several times over the past three decades to know the status of allotment letters. But in vain.
