Crimes against women, weaker sections down: Police

Crime cases against women registered a 2.58% decrease in 2016; in 2015, the drop was 9.55%, crime branch data shows. The police records reveal a 13.13% decrease last year in cases registered for violence against people from scheduled castes, and a 15.12% drop in cases against scheduled tribes
