Garbage scam: Mumbai civic body to bring in new tools to monitor waste transportation

Mumbai to use digital tools to supervise engineering work, curb corruption

Mumbai may be open defecation free by end of this month

BMC to widen 177 roads to ease traffic, but not without hurdles

The Colaba Causeway, DN Road in Fort, and SV Road are among 177 thoroughfares in Mumbai that its civic body wants to widen further to ease traffic.

Draft DP 2034: Hearing on citizens’ suggestions, objections to start from today

In Mumbai: BEST collects Rs11 crore, BMC Rs3 crore in one day

With the state government allowing the use of discontinued Rs500 and Rs1,000 notes for paying public utility bills, citizens rushed to their nearest ward offices and bill collection centres on Friday. Consequently, the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) collected dues amounting to Rs11 crore, while the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) body earned Rs10 crore from property and water tax in a day.

Delimitation: Boundaries of 10 Mumbai wards may change based on citizen’s feedback
