Ggm: Construction work resumes as Grap norms relaxed

NGT directs GMDA to redevelop Silokhra pond according to approved plan

The Silokhra pond and the land adjoining it was identified as ‘gairmumkin nullah’ in revenue records and it was acquired by the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP). The authority later planned to develop this land and auction the site for construction of a multi-story commercial complex. The decision of the HSVP was however, challenged by local residents, who approached the green tribunal, which upheld their contention and directed the authority to redevelop the land as a pond

GMRL to open office at Rapid Metro depot on Golf Course Road

Gurugram Metro Rail Ltd plans to open a new office at Rapid Metro Depot 2 to accommodate around 200 staff, enhancing access for contractors and consultants.

Chintels: Builder submits plan to DTCP, to be rebuilt in phases

On February 10, 2022, renovations at a sixth-floor flat of Tower D in the society led to the ceiling of a bedroom collapsing, causing a cascading effect in which portions of flats caved in all the way down to the first floor. Following the incident, in which two residents were killed, the Haryana department of town and country planning (DTCP) ordered a structural audit of the entire complex

Till now, the seller used to apply for online transfer permission, on the basis of which the plot or house was transferred by HSVP. Apart from this many more changes have been made in the property management system of the authority to make it easier to manage properties

100 crore to be spent on shifting of utilities on Umang Bhardwaj to Hero Honda Chowk

In September, the district administration had conducted a multi-agency meeting to expedite the removal of various utilities, to construct the elevated road on the 3.2km stretch

Gurugram’s sectors 68 to 80 set to get smart streetlights

GMDA has approved ₹9 crore for smart streetlights on roads in sectors 68-80, enhancing safety and monitoring via ICCC. Completion expected in a year.

A GMDA official said that these smart and connected lights will automatically allow dimming during less traffic hours, and will also come with individual operational activity. Eight new FOBs to come up in heavy traffic areas

Residents across 20 locations had demanded foot over bridges in their areas, following which the authority conducted a survey, and identified eight locations which require the FOBs on priority. Now, the civic body plans to hire a consultant for preparing a detailed project report for the eight locations.
