Govt agency seeks nod to demolish 3 towers in NBCC Green View

NBCC had sought permission to demolish the NBCC Green View condominium in June 2024, after a structural audit by experts from the Indian Institute of Technology (Bombay) found the seven towers unsafe. Earlier in February, 2022, the Gurugram district administration, under the National Disaster Management Act 2005, declared the complex unsafe and mandated its evacuation by March 2022 on the basis of reports submitted by CBRI and IIT Roorkee

GMDA to supply 100mld extra water from Chandu Budhera this summer

GMDA executive engineer, Abhinav Verma, who is overseeing the water treatment plants said that in order to increase water supply in the city, they will create additional water pipeline connections and install new pumping machinery, which will supply water to Sector 72 boosting station, Sector 51 and Sector 16 boosting stations and to Old Gurugram through the Basai plant

Haryana government identifies 370 patwaris in state, including 27 in Gurugram for corruption

The report has identified 27 patwaris in Gurugram, who were engaged in malpractices and it said that they have also hired 26 associates, who acted as middlemen. In neighbouring Faridabad, the report identified 19 patwaris but only three associates have been hired there. The highest number of corrupt patwaris have been identified by the report in Kaithal district which has 46 such patwaris

Chintels: Admin to decide on Towers A, B and C; seek reply from developer

A meeting to discuss the way forward was held on Thursday evening in which it was decided that initially a representation from the owners will be taken, a reply sought from the developer (Chintels India Ltd) and thereafter the district committee will take a decision regarding the demolition of these towers

On February 10, 2022, renovations at a sixth-floor flat of Tower D in the society led to the ceiling of a bedroom collapsing, causing a cascade effect in which portions of flats caved in all the way down to the first floor. Plan to expand Raghopur road connecting Delhi to Gurugram likely to get delayed
