Mallika Dua’s video on sex and pregnancy, to a series of politicians getting yelled at: what to watch online right now
American Crime Story: the People v OJ Simpson: The mini-series traces the trial of American football star Orenthal James Simpson, aka OJ Simpson, after he was accused and arrested for the double murders of his ex-wife and her friend. Though based on real events, the series depends heavily on the leading actors. American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson plays district prosecutor Marcia Clark, and does justice to the latter’s relentless fight for justice. Courtroom dramas can be tricky, especially when it comes to dramatising legal jargon. The series meets this challenge head on, with tension and suspense, even comic relief. Most remarkably, the loaded issue of racism is addressed with grace, without losing sight of the larger murder story.

Yell-O-Matic: What’s the best way to deal with anger? Ideally, walk it off. If that doesn’t work, direct it at an inanimate object. If absolutely necessary, directly shout at the person who made you angry. But what happens when you are irrationally angry at a politician? Think Donald Trump. Or Republican senator Ted Cruz. Even Hillary Clinton. Sure, you can tweet at them, but wouldn’t it be great if you could yell at them? This doesn’t let you yell, but, it offers a compilation of a range of politicians being yelled at, during rallies and speeches. From Bernie Sanders to Mitt Romney to Anthony Weiner — pick an American politician, watch them get yelled at, and even booed off the stage. .

AIB: A Woman’s Besties: Popular all-boy comedy troupe, All India Bakchod, came up with a video on a woman and her state of mind when she has a pregnancy scare. For the sketch, they roped in funny, feminist women. Mallika Dua plays Priya, the protagonist waiting for the result of a home pregnancy test. The besties in question are her clitoris, Clitika (played by Kaneez Surka); her vagina, Vagayenti (Sumukhi Suresh); and her breasts, Geeta and Boobita (played by Ramya Rao and Kavea R Chavali). Essentially, the video is a conversation between Priya and her organs where initially they hope the result is negative, reminiscence about their carefree pre-puberty days, and even miss Priya’s ‘deceased hymen’. It gets a woman’s internal monologue spot on, and promotes safe sex without sounding preachy.
