During the two month-long workshop, participants will be living, working and shooting in the wilderness in various outdoor settings. Sessions will be combined with fun activities like midnight screenings. Members of production houses and institutes such as Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra Productions, Cartoon Network, FTII Pune, Discovery Travel & Living, Sony Entertainment, and Wide Frame Pictures will be mentoring the aspirants. To provide a stable base for all amateurs and enthusiasts, says Vikram Khattar, the creative director of Mark 5 Films, “we aim at establishing a name synonymous to ‘filmmon ka playschool’ which allows everyone to have easy access to the world of filmmaking”.
