5 ways to boost hydration beyond drinking water

The intense summer heat can cause dehydration. While drinking water is essential, there are other natural ways to stay hydrated in summer.

Smoothies

Smoothies made of fruits and vegetables help hydrate and provide essential nutrients. Berries, cucumber, and spinach are great options.

Oatmeal

Oats absorb water while being cooked, making them rich in water content, which helps boost hydration. They also satiate hunger and provide energy.

Citrus fruits

Citrus fruits are rich in vitamin C and water content, which help keep you hydrated.

Water-rich vegetables

Vegetables such as spinach, celery and lettuce are excellent sources of water and help keep the body hydrated.

Try frozen fruits

You can create fruit popsicles by blending hydrating fruits such as watermelon, berries, and kiwis and freezing them.
