Who was Agustin Escobar? Siemens CEO killed with family in Hudson chopper crash

Agustín Escobar, President and CEO of Siemens in Spain, has died in a tragic helicopter crash.

Agustin Escobar died in the crash along with his wife and three children, who were with him at the time.

The children were all in middle school or younger. A photo shows them smiling in front of the helicopter.

Officials have not shared the name of the helicopter pilot.

Agustin Escobar was the President and CEO of Siemens Spain and led Siemens Mobility in Southwest Europe.

From 2012 to 2018, he led Siemens divisions in Latin America, focused on cities and energy.

Agustin Escobar studied industrial engineering in Madrid and had over 25 years of global experience in energy and transport.

Before his most recent roles, Escobar held several key leadership positions within Siemens.
