The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi will be observed from September 19 to September 28. Here are five tips that you should keep in mind while observing fast

Eat a balanced diet

Have a well-balanced diet including essential vitamins, minerals, proteins and antioxidants. Include foods like peanuts, dried fruits, and almonds to keep hunger pangs at bay

Drink lots of water

Drink water to keep yourself hydrated and opt for coconut water, fruit juice and whole fruits to stay active

Get sufficient rest

Take proper rest to conserve your energy levels. It will also keep you energised for participating in the festivities and meeting friends and family

Opt for a natural source of sugar

If you crave something sweet, opt for sources of natural sugars like dates and raisins
