Foods rich in good fat help lower bad cholesterol levels and improve heart health. They also help reduce inflammation and promote gut health

Here are some fats that are healthy to consume and are good for your heart. However, one should make sure to consume any kind of fat in moderation

Unsaturated fats

Unsaturated fats such as monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats can help promote cardiovascular health. They also help reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol levels and help avoid heart diseases

Foods such as avocado, salmon, sardines and vegetable oils such as canola oil, olive oil and avocado oil are good sources of unsaturated fats

Omega-3 fatty acids

Omega-3 fatty acids help prevent heart diseases, reduce inflammation and increase good cholesterol levels. Sardines and soy based foods are rich in omega-3 fatty acids

Nuts and seeds

Nuts and seeds are highly rich in good fats that are healthy for your heart. They help promote cardiovascular health by reducing bad cholesterol levels
