Best food to improve hemoglobin levels

Hemoglobin is a protein in the red blood cells that carries the oxygen to the different parts of the body. Low hemoglobin levels cause anemia, fatigue,  weakness and shortness of breath. Iron-rich food is recommended as iron is required to form hemoglobin. 

Pomegranate has high iron content. It promotes blood production. 

Beetroot is packed with  iron, folic acid, and antioxidants which increase the hemoglobin levels. 

Nettle tea contains iron and vitamin c that boost hemoglobin levels.

Green leafy vegetables like spinach, support hemoglobin production. 

Citrus fruits like lemon and orange are good source of Vitamin C. Vitamin C is crucial in iron absorption.
