5 ways to take care of your pet dog during Diwali 2023

Diwali can be hard on pets as the loud noise caused due to the firecrackers can make them feel scared and anxious. Here are five ways you can make your furry friends feel safe during the festive season.

Give them treats

Give them treats at regular intervals or pamper them with their favourite meals.

Cut out the noise

Keep the doors and windows shut to cut out on noise pollution.

Keep them close

Pets often go missing during Diwali. It is important to create a safe and familiar environment for your pet. Keep them close to you so that they don’t panic and try to run away.

Keep them engaged in playful activities

Be constantly engaged with your pet so that they are distracted and get tired quickly, which will help them sleep better. Getting pet toys or bones for them to chew and gnaw on can also be helpful when they are feeling anxious.

Keep your pet hydrated

The noise pollution can make your pet anxious and scared, making them pant and salivate more, resulting in dehydration. Keep a bowl of water close and ensure they are hydrated.
