5 tips to follow at work to avoid weight gain 

Sitting in one place for a long duration in the office can lead to weight gain, obesity and other health problems. Here are some useful tips to follow at work to avoid weight gain.

Take the stairs

Instead of taking the lift, opt for climbing stairs, as it will help increase your step count, reduce calories and prevent weight gain.

Eat a healthy and light lunch

Avoid eating oily and unhealthy food for lunch. Instead, choose a clean and light meal to prevent bloating and weight gain.

Stay hydrated

Consume an adequate amount of water at work to stay hydrated and prevent tiredness. Having water will also help detox your body and improve your metabolism.

Manage stress

Stress is a significant contributor to weight gain. Therefore, take sufficient breaks between work to reduce stress and socialise with others to relax your mind. 

Walk around

You can also take a stroll around your office in between and stretch your muscles. This can promote mobility and help avoid weight gain caused by sedentary habits.
