5 effective tips to prevent sunburn in summer

The scorching summer heat can damage your skin and cause sunburn. Here are five effective tips to help prevent sunburn.

Apply sunscreen

Make sunscreen a vital part of your skincare routine, especially in summer. It helps form a protective layer against harmful UV rays and prevents skin damage.

Stay hydrated

Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated. Dehydration in summer can make the skin susceptible to sun damage.

Wear protective clothing

When stepping outdoors, opt for clothing which provides coverage and helps prevent your skin from being exposed to the sun.

Avoid going out during the hottest hours

Avoid outdoor exposure during the peak hours of the day. Plan your outdoor activities before 10 AM or after 4 PM to prevent sunburn and other damage.

Wear protective accessories

Wear protective accessories such as hats and sunglasses to shield your eyes and face from possible damage. You can also carry an umbrella while stepping outdoors.
