The Andhra Pradesh government unveiled the world's tallest statue of BR Ambedkar, who is known as the architect of the Indian Constitution, in Vijayawada on January 19.

Here is everything you need to know about the statue.

Also known as the Statue of Social Justice, this statue of BR Ambedkar stands 206 ft from the ground and is on the list of the top 50 tallest statues in the world.

Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took to X to write, "The 206 feet Mahashilpam of Ambedkar erected by our government in Vijayawada is a symbol not only for the state but also for the country."

CM Reddy shared this video on X, giving a glimpse of the giant statue.

Deemed the world's tallest Ambedkar statue, the 125-foot tall Statue of Social Justice stands on an 81-foot pedestal.

Built from 400 tonnes of steel, the Statue of Social Justice is a complete project under the 'Made in India' initiative.

This project worth 404.35 crore is spread over 18.81 acres of land in a lush green park.

The area surrounding the statue in Swaraj Maidan including the water bodies in the forecourt and a musical fountain has been re-developed.

LED screens have been set up to display Ambedkar's life. A convention centre of 2,000 seating capacity, a food court of 8,000 sq ft and a children's playing area were also built.
