NASA's 10 sparkly 'Astronomy Pictures of the Day'

The US space agency NASA frequently shares spectacular Astronomy Pictures of the Day. Here are some of NASA's sparkly 'Astronomy Pictures of the Day' you must see.

This starry image is of a grand design spiral galaxy called M100. This galaxy has over 100 billion stars dotting its spiral arms, similar to Earth's Milky Way.

This stunning image is of a giant stellar nursery NGC 604, located about 1,300 light-years across. It is nearly 100 times the size of the Milky Way's Orion Nebula.

This mesmerising image is of an exploding star in the constellation of Vela. The image shows the filaments of the Vela supernova remnant.

Captured by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope, this gorgeous image is of a starburst after the collision of galaxies.

This beautiful image shared by NASA is of the spiral galaxy NGC 1055 in the constellation Cetus. It spans over 100,000 light-years, a little larger than the Milky Way galaxy.

This marvellous image shared as the Astronomy Picture of the Day by NASA is of a broad expanse of glowing gas and dust in the Seagull Nebula.

Also known as 30 Doradus, this spectacular image of the Tarantula Nebula was captured by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope. It is a giant star-forming region in the Large Magellanic Cloud.

Here's a captivating image of two galaxies, together known as the Antennae Galaxies. The two galaxies can be seen interacting with each other to form a heart shape.

This striking image shared by NASA is of a barred spiral galaxy NGC 1365. It is a majestic island universe spanning across 200,000 light-years.

This surreal image is of a runaway star called Zeta Ophiuchi. It is about 20 times more massive than the sun. This image was captured by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope.
