Hubble’s dazzling images of nebulae: See 10 pics captured by NASA telescope

A nebula is a giant cloud of dust, gas, and smoke in space that is emitted during the explosion of a dying star or the formation of a new star.

Here is a look at 10 mesmerising images of nebulae captured by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope.

This captivating image by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope captures the supernova remnant L249, formed after the death of a white dwarf star.

Check out this striking sight of the Carina nebula, home to giant stars with masses at least 50 to 100 times those of our Sun.

This gorgeous image shows the Red Spider Nebula (or NGC 6537), located some 3,000 light-years away in the constellation of Sagittarius.

This breathtaking image features the supernova remnant SNR 0454-67.2 surrounded by turbulent clouds of dust and gas.

This mesmerising image shows the Ant Nebula. It features a pair of fiery lobes protruding from a dying star.

This gorgeous image features two nebulae in the Small Magellanic Cloud, a dwarf galaxy.

This breathtaking Hubble image features the Tarantula Nebula.

This marvellous image features Westerlund 2, a giant cluster of about 3,000 stars.

This surreal image shows the Veil Nebula, featuring debris from the death of a massive star that exploded about 8,000 years ago.
