Trump was seen raising his fist to the crowd with a bloodied face after the failed assassination attempt.

According to the Associated Press, Trump was showing a chart of border crossing numbers during his rally in Butler City when the attack unfolded.

Firefighter Corey Comperatore died protecting his family from the 20-year-old assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks in Pennsylvania.

Trump, along with two others was injured before secret service snipers killed Crooks.

According to the Guardian, the 20-year-old gunman was from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania and was a registered Republican who donated to progressive Super Pac.

Crooks attempted to assassinate Trump with an AR-style rifle from a rooftop which was less than 500 ft away from the stage where Trump was speaking.
