CAT 2023: 6 things to remember before heading to the exam centre

Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023 is scheduled to take place on November 26 for applicants across the country. Here are 6 important instructions to remember before heading to the examination centre.

Report on time

Candidates are required to report 1.5 hours before the exam. The morning session will begin at 7 am while the afternoon and the evening sessions are scheduled at 11 am and 3 pm respectively.

Carry CAT 2023 admit card with a passport size photo

The admit card is the most important document as it is required to enter the examination hall. The candidate should affix their passport-size photographs to the document.

Carry a valid ID proof

Carry a government-issued identification document for verification purposes. Visit the official website to get more information on the valid IDs that are accepted.

Don't carry electronic gadets

Electronic devices such as mobile phone, calculator, bluetooth headset, and wristwatch are not allowed inside the examination hall.

Follow dress code

Candidates must avoid wearing jackets and closed-toed shoes. Accessories such as caps and jewellery are also prohibited.

Medical certificate for PwD candidates

Candidates who fall under the PwD (people with disabilities) category are required to carry a medical certificate for proof. They must also scribe an affidavit (on the form provided by IIMCAT) to the assigned exam centre.
