10 striking images of star forming regions captured by NASA

NASA frequently shares captivating pictures of star-forming regions in the universe which offer a visual spectacle.

Here is a look at 10 striking images of star-forming regions captured by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope.

This stunning image features the heart of the Trifid Nebula, a star-forming region within the Milky Way Galaxy, at a distance of about 9,000 light-years.

NASA's Hubble Space Telescope captured this breathtaking image of the Orion Nebula. It is the closest star-forming region to Earth, at a distance of about 1,500 light-years.

This mesmerising image captures the formation of a star in the star-forming region known as IRAS 16562-3959, which lies within the constellation Scorpius.

NASA's Hubble Space Telescope captured this image of the Sharpless 2-106 Nebula, nearly 2,000 light-years from Earth. It features the nebula's hourglass shape formed due to rings of dust. ⁣

This spectacular image shows the star-forming region G35.2-0.7N. The image shows a powerful protostellar jet formed due to huge beams of matter ejected from young stars.

This image shows the Lagoon Nebula and features intense winds and hot clouds of gas being emitted from the formation of stars.

NASA's Hubble Space Telescope took this image of a cosmic reef, part of a vast star-forming region which is home to massive stars about 10-20 times the size of the sun.

This mesmerising image features a pillar of gas and dust in the Carina Nebula, which is a vast star-forming region home to innumerable stars.

This captivating image shows the star-forming region 30 Doradus featuring hundreds of sparkling blue stars amidst gas and dust.
