10 breathtaking images of star-forming regions captured by NASA

The US space agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) frequently shares captivating pictures of star-forming regions.

Here are 10 breathtaking pictures captured by NASA.

NASA's James Webb Telescope captured this image of the star-forming region NGC 604, which contains more than 200 hottest and massive stars. The image features tendrils of bright red emission.

This stunning image captures the formation of a star in the star-forming region known as IRAS 16562-3959, which lies within the constellation Scorpius.

This stunning image shows Sharpless 2-106 Nebula, nearly 2,000 light-years from Earth. Captured by the Hubble Space Telescope, the image features the nebula's hourglass shape formed due to rings of dust. ⁣

This image shows the star-forming complex in the Perseus spiral arm of our Milky Way galaxy.⁣ It is located 6,000 light-years away in the constellation Cassiopeia.

This mesmerising pic shows the Red Spider nebula, a site of active star formation, located around 3000 light-years away in the constellation of Sagittarius.⁣

Taken by the Hubble Space Telescope, this image is of the star-forming region Sagittarius C. The image shows a cluster of baby stars sparkling amidst a cloud of dust.

This gorgeous image shows a star-forming region in the constellation Aquila, which features a protostellar jet, located about 7,200 light-years from Earth.

Captured by the Hubble Space Telescope, this image captures a cosmic reef, part of a vast star-forming region, home to massive stars about 10-20 times the size of the sun.

This beautiful picture captures pink clouds of gas bubbles emitted from the star-forming region N11, the second largest within the Large Magellanic Cloud galaxy.

NASA's James Webb Space Telescope captured this enchanting close-up image of Rho Ophiuchi, the closest star-forming region to Earth.
