10 beautiful pics of Saturn and its rings captured by NASA

The US space agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) frequently shares breathtaking pictures of Saturn. Let's look at 10 amazing photos of Saturn and its rings that NASA shared.

This is a near-ultraviolet image of Saturn as seen from the Hubble Space Telescope. It features the planet emitting an ombre of blue and purple shades. The rings appear much darker as they reflect less ultraviolet sunlight.

This near-infrared image of Saturn was taken from the James Webb Telescope. The planet appears dark due to methane gas in its atmosphere, which absorbs sunlight.

This photo of Saturn was taken from Voyager 2 on July 12, 1981, when it was 33.9 million km from the planet. The photo is created using three images taken through ultraviolet, violet and green filters.

This black and white image is a close-up of Saturn's rings as captured by the Cassini spacecraft.

This image was captured by the Cassini spacecraft. It features a view of Saturn and its moon, Mimas, from around 927,000 km away.

This photo of Saturn was captured by the Cassini spacecraft. It shows a massive hexagon-shaped hurricane swirling on top of the planet.

The Cassini spacecraft captured this image of Saturn in 2012. The photo shows the gorgeous planet and its largest moon, Titan.⁣

The Hubble Space Telescope captured this photo of Saturn on July 4, 2020, when the planet was positioned 839 million miles from Earth.

This is an infrared image of Saturn featuring the planet in vivid colours. It was taken from NICMOS, a scientific instrument for infrared imaging, on January 4, 1998.

Captured by the Cassini spacecraft in January 2010, this image shows day and night on Saturn.
