Indian actor Anasuya Sengupta scripted history at the prestigious 77th Cannes Film Festival by becoming the first Indian actor to win the Best Actress award.

Anasuya was conferred with the Best Actress award at the Un Certain Regard segment for her role in the film The Shameless, directed by a Bulgarian filmmaker Constantin Bojanov.
