As we gear up for the 2025 Grammys, let's revisit some of the most unexpected and surprising wins that left fans and critics stunned.

Beck (2015) - Beck took home the Album of the Year award for "Morning Phase" in 2015, beating high profile albums by Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, and Sam Smith.

Christina Aguilera (1999) - Aguilera won Best New Artist with just one single, "Genie in a Bottle", beating out Britney Spears and Macy Gray.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (2014) - The Hiphop duo won Best Rap Album for "The Heist", beating Kendrick Lamar.

Adele (2017) - Facing off against Beyonce's "Lemonade", Adele won Album of the Year for "25" in 2017. 

Hilary Clinton (2005) - While popularly known as a politician, Clinton also won the Grammy award for Best Spoken Word Album in 2005.

Ed Sheeran (2018) - Ed Sheeran won Best Pop Solo Performance for "Shape of You", against four women artists, Kesha, Lady Gaga, P!nk, and Kelly Clarkson.

Kings of Leon (2010) - Despite the influx of escapist pop music, the rock band took home Record of the Year for "Use Somebody", winning against Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift.
