UPSC CSE Mains 2024: 8 mistakes that candidates must strictly avoid during exam

Do not reach the examination venue late on the day of the examination as no late entry will be allowed inside the exam-venue under any circumstances.

Do not forget to bring important documents such as the hall ticket, a government-issued ID card, and other documents on exam day.

Do not sit in any other seat other than the one allocated to you as doing so would invite disciplinary action.

No candidates should copy from the papers of any other candidate nor permit their papers to be copied or attempt to obtain irregular assistance of any description.

No candidate should use any pen other than the one specified by the commission.

Do not use mobile phone (even in switched-off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device, storage media like pen drive, smart watches, camera or blue tooth devices, etc. during the exam.

No candidates should misbehave or create a disorderly scene in the examination hall or harass the staff employed by the commission for the conduct of the examination.

Do not write roll number and other required details anywhere else other than the space provided for the purpose on every answer book.

Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including a ban from future examinations.
