Here are some active learning techniques suggested by Harvard University that can be implemented by everyone

Spaced repetition. It is the practice of reviewing what you’ve learned at certain intervals, which reinforces the concepts in your brain and deepens those neural pathways

Practice tests and low-stakes testing. You could make up your own tests by asking yourself what the teacher would likely put on a test, and then answering those questions. Low-stakes testing can simply be a quiz on material just recently learned to reinforce core concepts and knowledge

Teaching others. Practice teaching your knowledge to others through a formal presentation in class or through an exercise while studying with friends or alone

Active note-taking. If you want to better track and reinforce the concepts you learn in class, you can consider taking a more active approach to your note-taking skills

Receiving and applying feedback. It is a way to look at your current process and ask what you could do differently the next time
